Pēc mācībām Rīgas Doma kora skolā, apgūstot kordiriģenta specialitāti, papildinājis zināšanas kompozīcijā, absolvējot Jāzepa Vītola Latvijas Mūzikas akadēmiju.
The composer’s creative work is marked by significant achievements in academic music, creating music for the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, Latvian Radio Big Band, professional wind orchestra “Rīga”, choirs “Kamēr”, “Juventus”, “Maska”, “Ave Sol”, as well as achievements as a pianist, singer, and producer in the pop and jazz music genres, collaborating with various musical groups and artists such as Da Gamba, Dons, Jānis Lūsēns, Daumants Kalniņš, Raimonds Pauls, and others.
Dita Lūriņa is one of Latvia’s most prominent theatre artists – an outstanding actress, talented director, and creative personality whose career demonstrates her versatility and artistic depth.
Dita Lūriņa has been an actress at the Latvian National Theatre since 2000, born and raised in a family of theatre artists. Dita Lūriņa’s stage career is rich with diverse and prominent roles; she has been nominated for and received the “Spēlmaņu nakts” award multiple times, and in 2024, she received the Lilita Bērziņa Award from the Latvian Theatre Union.
Dita Lūriņa’s directorial experience, in turn, includes several significant and vivid productions: “The Cherry Orchard” at the Liepāja Theatre, “Tango Without Blood” and “Ferdinand and Louise”, as well as the mono-opera #DiToo at the Latvian National Theatre.
2023. In the summer, Dita impressed with her direction of Zigmars Liepiņš’ opera “Notre Dame de Paris” concert production at Dzintari Concert Hall, gaining wide acclaim from audiences and critics. Also noteworthy is Dita’s musicality and her many vocally challenging and excellently interpreted roles in Latvian National Theatre productions and various musical projects. Dita Lūriņa is an Officer of the Order of the Three Stars, 4th Class.
Dita Lūriņa has collaborated with Maestro Raimonds Pauls in numerous concert programs. This will be an unprecedented, new, and surprise-filled collaboration, as well as Dita’s directorial debut at the Mežaparks Grand Stage.
